2008 Arts Summit

The Arts Council's annual Mendocino County Arts Summit was held on Friday, May 16 in Caspar. Over 50 people attended this event. For event photos and a summit report, click here.

GASP Get Arts in the Schools Program (GASP) -- GASP, an arts education partnership of the Mendocino County Office of Education & the Arts Council of Mendocino County, is currently in it's third year of funding. GASP funds artist workshops and live performances in Mendocino County schools each school year. Please click here for more info.

Capwiz
Advocate for the Arts! The new Capwiz website provides an easy and effective way for arts supporters to communicate with their elected officials.

Mendocino County Cultural Plan -- This document was created through the efforts of over 100 community volunteers. “Bridges to the Future” integrates the arts as an important participant in the county’s transition toward a sustainable future. It addresses a variety of civic concerns and points the way to develop new collaborations, leadership, and financing to advance the county and its cultural assets. There's always something going on at the art centers and museums in Mendocino County! There are more artists per capita here than any other place in the country.
