Born and raised in the hills of Mendocino County, Lincoln Andrews has devoted his life to the study and expression of sound and music.
After graduating from a digital sound arts program in the San Francisco Bay Area, he and his father built a remote cabin in Dos Rios to serve as both a home base and creative retreat. He went on to establish himself as a freelance sound engineer in San Francisco, teaching music production at the Academy of Art University and working with renowned venues such as the SFJAZZ Center and Boom Boom Room, as well as corporate clients including Facebook and Google. Despite building a successful career in audio, Lincoln ultimately chose to refocus on his primary passion—performance—relocating to New York City to dedicate himself fully to the bass before returning to Mendocino County following a period of touring and reflection.
During the pandemic, Lincoln took to the road and traveled to Mexico, where he quickly found himself performing regularly with multiple groups and sustaining himself entirely through music. Now based in Fort Bragg for the past four years, he has become a central figure in the local music scene, performing 3–4 nights a week as a bassist while also running a growing sound company that provides recording, mixing, mastering, and live sound services. His work includes production for regional events such as the Fort Bragg Blues Festival and the Mendocino Music Festival (side stages). As a performer, Lincoln has deepened his orch ... view more »

His work includes production for regional events such as the Fort Bragg Blues Festival and the Mendocino Music Festival (side stages). As a performer, Lincoln has deepened his orchestral playing through dedicated arco study with Zachary Iscoff (a student of Stephen Tramontozzi) and is now a regular member of the Symphony of the Redwoods, where he performed his first solo feature this past spring. He is also a core member of La Onda, a world music ensemble known for filling local venues with dance-driven performances spanning ska, reggae, cumbia, salsa, and Afrobeat. With over 15 years of performance experience and more than a decade in music education, Lincoln brings a globally informed, deeply expressive approach to the bass, channeling his travels and community roots into every performance.
