I am driven to paint daily.

Painting is about telling the truth. I stay and push, time passing, adding layers until you can see what I see and feel.

I love paint-the setting up, the equipment, the colors and texture of paint, the language of painting. Painting is a process for me: first I find something-a landscape, a still-life, colors, lights and darks that excite me. Once I commit I set up my materials (everything I’ll need is accessible) with intention. I rely on my seriousness and organization skills. Every moment in the painting process has meaning; is purposeful. Because painting is a serious thing to me.

The entire process from beginning to end is intense excitement problem-solving and focus. I enjoy this process immensely.
