Don’t miss the second annual KelpFest! Parade! Seaweed Spectacle in Mendocino is a vibrant celebration of our ocean’s kelp forests, community creativity, and coastal stewardship, featuring pre and post parade entertainment and programming.
Join us at 11:30 AM at entrance to Portuguese Beach. At 12:00 PM, the parade travels through downtown Mendocino, concluding with a 12:30 PM celebration and additional programming at Mendocino Art Center. Participants are encouraged to craft plastic-free, recycled, or repurposed costumes that honor environmental stewardship and ocean health.
