Born in Antelope Valley, SoCal, in the Summer of Love. Jaimi’s father moved to Caspar in ’71. She ping-ponged between Lala Land (aka “the Valley”), the pygmy forest and the redwoods.  She tried high school in Mendo but the hippie kids weren’t kindly to outsider city kids. She returned to SoCal until her twenties and tried the North again.

She met her husband and they fled east to Chapel Hill, NC. They hopscotched back to Mendocino County and opened a restaurant, bought a house in Fort Bragg and started a family. Finally, with more time on her hands, she began to control breaks in glass for stress relief. She was told she couldn’t do things a certain way with glass, so she felt challenged to try. Over twenty years of educating herself about working in stained glass and melting solder, she finally jumped in middle fingers first. Her bats became coveted. She made banana slugs instead of overdone hummingbirds; bugs and the unwanted need love, too.

She realized at the ripe age of 58 that her name, pronounced in French, means “I love”. Everything she makes is made with love. No cookie-cutter repetition here. Everything is unique and one of a kind.
