There will be visual representations of data gathered to-date, as well as an opportunity to propose projects for the regional Project Inventory. So, if you have a good idea in need of funding you would like to share, and it meets the guidelines for funding, this would be a good time to do so.
Additionally, out of respect for people’s time, RISE is generously offering compensation of $25-$50 for those who attend in the form of debit cards. (We only have a certain amount of cards, so we ask that you both RSVP to me [director@artsmendocino.org] with your full name and zip code of residence, and attend in order to receive one.)
I hope to see you there!
For the past few years, I have been engaged with Redwood Region RISE a four-county (Mendocino, Lake, Humboldt, Del Norte) regional effort to support economic development and job-creation post-pandemic. The State of California has funded a great deal of research, meetings, interviews, focus groups, and work on this topic to ensure that the experience of people in the region is accurately reflected in RISE strategies and working documents. I’ve been mostly involved with the Arts, Culture, and Tourism (ACT) sector table with the goal of ensuring that the interests of the Arts and Culture community have an advocate, and that when/if there is funding for projects, our projects might be among those funded.
