This Sunday night jazz jam is a welcoming, community-driven event designed to bring musicians and listeners together in the spirit of learning, collaboration, and creative growth. The evening begins with a set by the house band—Lincoln Andrews, Carlos Hernandez, and Gabriel Yanez—laying down classic jazz repertoire, deep grooves, and inspired improvisation to set the tone for the night. Their opening set establishes a relaxed yet focused atmosphere that invites both seasoned players and curious newcomers into the music.
Around 8pm, the floor opens for a communal jam session, welcoming local musicians to sit in, call tunes, and stretch themselves on material they may be encountering for the first time. This jam is centered on artistic development rather than perfection, creating a supportive environment where players can take risks, listen deeply, and grow together. Whether you’re an instrumentalist looking to expand your vocabulary or a listener who enjoys witnessing music unfold in real time, the night offers an authentic, grassroots jazz experience rooted in connection and creativity.
